How it all began

The story of Tennis Factory began with a problem many tennis players know: broken strings. When Joel Bopp played tennis intensively at 16, his rackets constantly needed restringing. Each restringing cost around 50 francs – not a cheap affair in the long run.

At the Wallisellen tennis club, he met Ernst Bosshard. The retired mechanical engineer developed his own stringing machines and had been stringing rackets for many tennis players in the region for decades. A close friendship developed between them.

After Ernst Bosshard's unexpected death, Joel Bopp took over his stringing machines and customer base at just 16 years old. In the basement of his parents' house, he began stringing rackets for customers – alongside high school, his Matura exams, and later his mechanical engineering studies at ETH Zurich.

The Next Big Step

In 2020, Joel Bopp received support from entrepreneur Diego Sagarra, who believed in the potential of Tennis Factory. Together, they further developed the company and converted it into a public limited company.

A year later, the idea of having their own store emerged. Supported by the shareholders and with much personal commitment, this dream became a reality.

Our Store in Wallisellen

Our store is located at Industriestrasse 47a in 8304 Wallisellen, just a few minutes' walk from the Glattzentrum. On approximately 220 m², we present a wide range of leading brands for all racket sports.

Ten parking spaces are available in front of the store. Thanks to its proximity to the Glattzentrum, your shopping trip can also be ideally combined with a visit to the shopping center.
