The Wilson Blade V9: A New Era of Stability and Precision
On February 1, 2024, the Wilson Blade V9 will be released, the latest generation of one of the most popular performance racket series. The new model focuses on stability, precision, and an improved feel upon impact, without losing the familiar characteristics of the Blade series.
StableFeel: The Most Important Innovation
The key to the development of the Blade V9 lies in the new StableFeel technology. It increases the torsional and bending stiffness of the frame, which should provide more stability and a more direct feel upon ball contact.
Despite the increased stability, playing comfort is maintained. The altered sound frequency upon impact also contributes to clearer and richer feedback.
What does StableFeel offer?
✓ More torsional stability
✓ More direct feedback upon ball contact
✓ Improved precision
✓ Comfortable hitting feel
Proven Technologies Remain
In addition to StableFeel, the Blade V9 incorporates several proven technologies from earlier generations.
Braided Graphite + Basalt
The combination of elastic and reactive materials extends ball contact time and improves the feel upon impact.
Parallel Drilling
The special grommet drilling ensures a more consistent string movement and enlarges the effective sweet spot.
DirectConnect
The carbon fiber handle is directly connected to the racket head. This improves torsional stability and provides a more direct playing feel.
FortyFive
The frame construction allows for controlled flexibility without compromising the racket's stability.
New Design in Emerald Green
Visually, the Wilson Blade V9 presents itself in a dynamic emerald green. The calm and high-quality design is complemented by a neon-red Wilson logo on the racket neck.
This gives the new generation a modern appearance, but it remains clearly recognizable as a member of the Blade family.
Models and Matching Bags
The Blade V9 series includes a total of eight models, including two junior rackets. Four bag variations are available to match: Super Tour 15 PK, Super Tour 9 PK, Duffel, and Backpack.
Price and Availability
The new Wilson Blade 98 16x19 V9 will be offered for CHF 300 at launch. This means it is priced below its direct predecessor at Tennis Factory.
From February 1, 2024, the new Blade V9 series will be available at Tennis Factory. It is aimed at both professionals and ambitious club and tournament players who value precision, stability, and a direct feel for the ball.
