Leading tennis manufacturers such as Wilson, Babolat, Head, Tecnifibre, Prince, and Yonex produce both pressurized and pressureless balls. In regular play and official matches, pressurized balls are primarily used. These gas-filled tournament tennis balls offer fast gameplay and excellent bounce characteristics. During production, gas is injected to create constant internal pressure. These balls are delivered in special pressurized cans to maintain this pressure. Over time, the pressure decreases, and the balls lose their bounce. Therefore, pressurized balls must be replaced regularly, depending on play frequency, hitting power, and court surface. Pressureless tennis balls have a significantly longer lifespan and are ideal for training or ball machines. They are slower and easier to control, making them perfect training balls for beginners or occasional players. The quality of the felt also plays a role in durability; low-quality felt wears down quickly, leading to inconsistent bounces. For newcomers, methodology balls facilitate learning by being softer and slower. Based on skill level, they are divided into stages (Stage 1 to 3). Additionally, oversized Giant Balls are available for coordination games, autographs, or as gifts.
