Zero torque – what is behind it

Face angle at impact determines most of the ball’s start direction – far more than the swing path. This is exactly where the Allan comes in: unlike classic putters that are face-balanced or have toe hang, the Allan’s face stands vertical at rest. This is made possible by the centre of gravity directly below the shaft axis – so there is no torque to open or close the face. That reduces the small face rotations that decide between holed and missed putts, and works for every stroke type.

Face, S-COR insert and sound

The face, just 0.055 inches thin, is supported by an S-COR polymer structure that makes up around 37 % of the head volume. This combination blends the soft, rich sound of an insert with the direct feel of a milled solid putter. The third generation of pyramid milling is more aggressive and improves roll – even on hits away from the centre, the ball rolls earlier and more calmly towards the target.

Construction, weight and forgiveness

The hollow body made of 303 stainless steel is designed for optimal weight distribution. Because the light S-COR polymer takes mass from the centre, weight moves to the outer edges – this increases the moment of inertia (MOI) and makes the putter noticeably more forgiving on off-centre hits. A light alignment aid and an aluminium sole put the weight where it creates stability.

Alignment, hosel and loft

The characteristic S-shaped hosel places the shaft axis just above the centre of gravity, creating the toe-up balance point that minimises torque. The 5° loft with 2° forward press results in an effective 3° at impact – enough to lift the ball cleanly out of its depression into forward roll. The clear alignment aid helps bring the square face visually onto the line.

Everyday comfort

A well-thought-out detail is the pick-up pocket in the sole: it lets you pick up the ball easily without bending down – sparing your back over 18 holes.
