Element string set
To meet every need, we have divided our offerings into two main categories. In our string sets, you will find individual packs (12 meters), ideal for testing new material properties. For frequent string breakers and clubs, our string reels (200 meters) offer a significant price advantage per stringing. Whether it's monofilament made of polyester for extreme spin or multifilament strings for a feel like natural gut – we have the right solution in stock.
When is a string change necessary?
A critical point for every tennis player is tension loss. A string loses about 5-10% of its tension within the first 24 hours after stringing, even without play. When the string is "hardened," the elastic recovery decreases, leading to less power and increased arm strain. We therefore recommend regularly renewing the stringing, at the latest when control noticeably diminishes or the profile of textured strings is worn down.
The technique: String tension and gauge
String tension is a constant trade-off between control and acceleration. A soft stringing provides a trampoline effect with a lot of power, while a hard stringing offers more precision. The gauge is also crucial:
- Thin strings (1.10mm - 1.20mm): More spin, better ball feel, and high arm protection.
- Thick strings (1.30mm - 1.40mm): Significantly higher durability and consistent control.
